The Five Mistakes Parents Make that Give Away Control

Coaching

I’ve completed coach training at The Coaches Training Institute, and use both my coaching skills and life experiences to help clients find a CLEAR PATH. Someone asked me once what coaching was all about. Here’s the interview.

Janada, why would anyone want Coaching?

Sometimes you need an outside opinion, a fresh perspective, a collaborator to help you find clarity. You want to change-but you need some direction. Close friends or family members can have their own biases and agendas. Perhaps you aren’t comfortable with sharing your challenges. Possibly they have some of the same challenges themselves.

A life coach can facilitate change by listening without judgment or personal agenda. Trained to listen deeply, they sharpen your focus and help you solve obstacles.

What do you bring to Coaching?

I combine my life experiences with coaching. In my personal life, I have two wonderful sons. After my marriage ended and during their youth, I was a single parent for 7 years. When I remarried, I was blessed with a sweet step-daughter, and know the challenges and blessings of bringing together a blended family.

Growing up, struggles with my weight were always a part of my life. As an adult, I finally conquered my issues with food, lost over 30 pounds and have maintained my weight. Now I bring passion, compassion, and deep understanding to my clients who seek healthy lifestyle changes. Through a process of asking thought-provoking questions and a belief in an individual’s capacity to change and find their own answers, I can help find a CLEAR PATH.

What’s this Blog for?

Since I offer classes and coaching, I’m always thinking of ways to solve parenting problems, particularly since I learned the Love and Logic® methods. And I’m deeply concerned with a healthy life-style – food, exercise, stress-reduction and balance. I wanted a way to communicate these ideas, and so I started this blog. Later, I also added on a pair of free newsletters that go out to whoever signs up for them. If you’d like tips on wellness and parenting, click here to sign up.
